Yes, these are all playground designs, and yes they are quite stunning. Each of them are made with custom worked wood, instead of the traditional pre-fab plastic and metal materials you might typically see in playgrounds. The ones you see here are the brain children of Cambridge, Mass. woodworker Mitch Ryerson, whose work is but one example of a growing national interest to completely reimagine how we think of public play spaces.
